Direct Download lets you download one or more files without installing the Rockwell Automation Download Manager. Files download direct to the default Downloads folder. Managed Download is preferred method because it is secure, verifies file integrity, and handles a wide range of communication problems. Managed Download places the files into a predictable folder structure.
Each Direct Download displays instructions for each file. Some files require no action. Double click the .exe to extract all the files into a folder on your computer. You do not need to double click the .rar files.
You need to click each file link to download each file separately. Use Managed Downloads, a third party download manager, or see Technote 603590 in the Rockwell Automation Knowledgebase for instructions on how to automate direct downloads.

The Download Manager automatically recovers from short or intermittent network connectivity issues. Note: If the Download Manager finds partial files from a previous download, it resumes the download from that point.
